A review of 2018 and 100 images that made it

2018 was a massive year for Nick Church Photography. Here is a brief look back, along with the images that made it

Early in the year, I was able to give up my day job in the software industry and concentrate all of my time, creativity and energy on Nick Church Photography. This was wonderfully liberating and I was thrilled to receive feedback of the positive impact this has had on my work.

Also early on in the year I expanded the business with some extra, important pairs of hands. I now have Dawn Lockhart doing the business on album design, filmmaker (and Son) Ethan Church providing a brilliant videography option to clients, and the talented Geraint Roberts coming in as lead-shooter. Geraint and I worked together on a few of my weddings early in 2018, and he was able to really get behind the way I approach the day and the way I shoot. Before long, Geraint was impressively shooting a selection of weddings on his own for Nick Church Photography, to glowing reviews from my clients. And with me continuing to edit all the images, it’s a cohesive and consistent service to an increased number of couples.

I was pleased to donate my time to outreach organisation HIPZ (Healthcare Improvement Project Zanzibar). This was a great event, working with Peter Andre, and for an incredible organisation with which I am hoping to partner on a project in Zanzibar.

Above all, I owe 2018 successes to all the amazing couples that have chosen Nick Church Photography to work with them on their wedding day. I’ve met a wonderful group of people that I feel like I’ve known for years and to provide these couples with photos that they love has been something I’ve done with pride and pleasure.

Looking forward to 2019 it looks set to be an even more exciting year. With many more weddings booked than 2018 and more training courses being delivered, it is going to be busy and I cannot wait. Plans for a studio at Nick Church Photography HQ and an increased number of team-members are just two exciting developments of which I hope to bring news before 2019 is out.

In the meantime, of all the amazing weddings we shot in 2018 it would be impossible to choose a favourite. Likewise, every image means something, but I’ve narrowed this down to 100 images from 2018 which I hope you enjoy.

Much Love
