Clevedon Hall, Somerset Wedding Photography: Lizzy and Dave
Lizzy & Dave stole my house, that’s all you need to know. Details to follow…
Even before Liz and Dave booked me for their wedding I’d been following her Instagram feed (@lizzys_brizzle_home) as I love her little bits of brilliant interior design. Dark, rich colours and artistic attention to light - basically, they look a bit like my photos! I knew their wedding was going to be a individual, visual feast, and I was not disappointed.
But the biggest surprise was when meeting them for their consultation meeting… we immediately got on really well, no surprise here as I’m such a likeable guy (honest, ask anyone. Well, ok, not anyone, I’ll give you some names).
We were chatting about various places we’d lived. As Lizzy talked about a previous flat of theirs in Redland Bristol, I mentioned that I also used to live in Redland while at University. What a lovely, completely un-weird connection. As we narrowed down the exact location, it suddenly became clear we were talking about the exact same flat!
It was getting weird enough that I worried I looked like a stalker so I changed tack and asked where they lived now. Downend, they said. As I also lived in Downend a few years ago, I considered pretending that I’d never heard of it - once is odd, but twice would rightly require a restraining order.
The wedding day was at Clevedon Hall in North Somerset. Already a photogenic venue, on the day it had been styled beautifully as I expected; in fact the whole day had lovely touches throughout and their personality shone through which I hope it also does in the photos.
What a gorgeous couple to work with - I’m looking forward to moving into their current house when they move, not just to be able to see them again, but I know it will be decorated to perfection.
Extra gold star for Andy, Dave’s Brother, whose Best Man speech was hilarious. Successful speeches are those that are funny while remaining inclusive to all the guests and Andy did this expertly - great job!
