Series 2, Episode 2: Guy Peterson, Dakar-based Photojournalist
Episode Description
For this episode we welcomed Guy Peterson, a photojournalist based in Dakar.
Guy gave us a fascinating insight into his work, captures photography of humanitarian issues in West Africa and other regions where people are living with poverty, famine, war and climate change.
His work is raw, beautiful and incredibly immersive - it puts the viewer directly into the situations and how it is affecting the lives of people. We hear about Guy’s journey to creating photograph for the largest newspapers in the world and also his training in handing dangerous scenarios.
Also in this episode: Steve, Nick and Guy talk about AI used in photojournalism, the importance of taking your photography out of your comfort zone plus the usual features.

Steve is a wedding photographer based in Oxfordshire and together with his partner in crime, Sam, they run Sam and Steve Photography. Steve was awarded Wedding Photographer of the Year by FujiFilm, Photography News and Loxley.

Steve and Sam have 5 children between them, and Steve somehow manages to also have a busy role in training and sales within the pharmaceutical industry. Deciding they need yet more drama in their lives, Sam and Steve also both perform on stage.
