In this episode we talk to incredible, renowned food and drink photographer Cristian Barnett.
Cristian works with the finest restaurants and premier chefs in the UK. Among his accolades are shooting photography for Tom Kerridge including all the photos for his cook books.
Cristian’s talks through his medium format camera kit, his process and approach to photography, including how he interacts with his clients and it is totally fascinating.
Cristian’s work is phenomenal. The creativity and careful thought he puts into his photography shines out in every photo.
Also fascinating was his personal projects - working with the team from three Michelin Star restaurant L’Enclume, his work with displaced Ukrainians and project meeting people all around the Arctic Circle.
He gives some advice for photographers looking to start in the industry, specifically (after recording), the value of assisting for other photographers and learning the trade that way.

Nick is a wedding and commercial photography, filmmaker and educator based in Bristol, UK. Following a career in the Software Industry, Nick saw the light (literally) and made photography centre stage in 2018. Most recently Nick has become a regular speaker at The Photography & Video Show in the UK and is delighted to be part of The Photography Pod.

Steve Vaughan
Steve is a wedding photographer based in Oxfordshire and together with his partner in crime, Sam, they run Sam and Steve Photography. Steve was awarded Wedding Photographer of the Year by FujiFilm, Photography News and Loxley.

Steve and Sam have 5 children between them, and Steve somehow manages to also have a busy role in training and sales within the pharmaceutical industry. Deciding they need yet more drama in their lives, Sam and Steve also both perform on stage.
